Moisture and mold on the surface

Cause

Moisture and mold usually result from high indoor humidity levels, insufficient ventilation, or lack of natural light. Additionally, dirty surfaces provide an ideal substrate for the growth of fungi and microorganisms.

Solution

Thoroughly clean the surface using a solution of bleach, water, and liquid soap. Allow the surface to dry completely, then apply one (1) coat of insulating primer MONOX or MONOX AQUA. Finish with two (2) coats of mold-resistant emulsion paint FUNGITEX, which offers long-lasting protection against mold.

Cracks or flaking on painted surfaces

Cause

Cracking or flaking is usually caused by poor plaster application, existing cracks in the substrate, or the use of low-quality paint. Lack of proper priming and excessive paint dilution also contribute significantly.

Solution

Remove all loose material using a spatula and locally fill with PROPLASTEX to achieve a smooth, even surface. Prime with PRIMEX A-300 and finish with a high-durability emulsion paint such as ARTEX or XTRA EMULSION, ensuring excellent aesthetics and long-term durability.

Poor xoverage of yellowed or smoke-stained

Cause

Smoke and pollutants penetrate the paint film and reappear on the surface.

Solution

Apply one (1) coat of special insulating primer MONOX or MONOX AQUA, then finish with two (2) coats of ARTEX, ARTEX ECO, XTRA ECO, or XTRA EMULSION.

Paint comes off during cleaning

Cause

Use of low wash-resistance paint, aggressive cleaning agents, or cleaning before the paint has fully cured.

Solution

Apply an eco-friendly emulsion paint with high resistance to washing and abrasion, such as ARTEX ECO or XTRA ECO.

Mold inside closets

Cause

Poor ventilation that traps moisture inside enclosed spaces.

Solution

Install a ventilation grille or air vent to improve airflow and apply two (2) coats of mold-resistant emulsion paint FUNGITEX.

Black mold spots on bathroom and Kitchen Ceilings

Cause

High humidity due to insufficient ventilation and steam accumulation.

Solution

Clean the surface thoroughly with a bleach solution. Once completely dry, apply two (2) coats of mold-resistant emulsion paint FUNGITEX.

Peeling paint on exterior surfaces

Cause

Incorrect or insufficient priming, improper primer dilution, or painting fresh plaster before 30 days have passed, with salts still present.

Solution

Remove all loose material, fill where necessary with STOCOWALL SUPER FILL, prime the entire surface with PRIMEX A1300 or PRIMEX MICRO, and paint with 2–3 coats of ARTAKRYL, ARTAKRYL SIL, or ELASTOKRYL.

Uneven color appearance

Cause

Different substrate absorbency, uneven or missing primer application, or excessive paint dilution.

Solution

Prime properly with PRIMEX A1300 or PRIMEX MICRO, then apply 2–3 coats of ARTAKRYL, ARTAKRYL SIL, or ELASTOKRYL.

Chalkiness (powdering on the surface)

Cause

Natural aging of the paint, excessive dilution, or painting on fresh plaster.

Solution

Sand the surface, remove loose material, prime with PRIMEX A1300 or PRIMEX MICRO, and repaint with 2–3 coats of ARTAKRYL, ARTAKRYL SIL, or ELASTOKRYL.

Rust formation

Cause

Paint aging combined with harsh weather conditions, lack of anti-corrosion protection, insufficient film thickness, or use of low-quality paint.

Solution

Sand the surface locally or entirely, apply anti-corrosion primer GRIDOX, REDOX, or NEOMIN, and finish with two (2) coats of MOBILAC.

Blistering during application of oil-based or enamel paint

Cause

Excessive paint dilution, inappropriate thinner, incorrect painting tools, or poor-quality paint.

Solution

Apply ULTRALAC or MOBILAC according to the recommended dilution ratios, using CHROTEX BRUSH SOLVENT and appropriate painting tools.

Wrinkling after paint application

Cause

Wrinkling occurs when the paint does not dry evenly throughout its thickness. Common causes include overly thick application, applying the second coat before the first has fully dried, use of unsuitable thinner, or painting at high temperatures that cause surface drying without proper curing underneath.

Solution

Carefully sand the surface to remove wrinkled paint or apply REMOVER for complete removal. Repaint the entire surface with MOBILAC, MOBILAC AQUA, or XTRALAC, strictly following application and dilution instructions.

Yellowed doors and cabinets

Cause

Natural aging of the paint, lack of lighting, or use of low-quality varnish paints.

Solution

Lightly sand the surface, apply one (1) coat of VELATURA AQUA, and finish with two (2) coats of ULTRALAC AQUA for excellent aesthetics and long-term durability.

Paint wrinkling on wood

Cause

Wrinkling results from improper application conditions, such as applying a second coat before the first has fully dried, applying paint too thickly, using unsuitable thinner, or painting at high temperatures, leading to surface drying without proper depth curing.

Solution

Carefully sand the surface to remove wrinkles and repaint using ULTRALAC or ULTRALAC AQUA, following the recommended application and dilution guidelines for a smooth, durable finish.
